Sulking Amar Singh snubbed by Samajwadi Party

new Delhi: Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav is making one more attempt to placate Amar Singh by making him the chief guest at the ongoing Saifai annual fair.

But posters put up all across Mulayam Singh's territory in central Uttar Pradesh have the photo of Amar Singh missing.

The self-proclaimed younger brother of Mulayam Singh is now on warpath with the same man.

As Saifai town gets ready to celebrate its much hyped annual fair Amar Singh missing from the posters seems like a subtle message to him by his opponents.

As matter of formality though, he has been sent an official invitation to attend the fair..

"I know that Mulayam Singh loves me. I will continue to support him," says Amar Singh.

Amar Singh has confirmed that he will attend this festival. But it doesn't imply that all will be well in future between him and the SP.

Through the day on Monday SP leaders in favour and against him kept the pot stirring. Muslim MLAs of SP blamed him for losing out on the Muslim support while others threatened to resign in his favour/

"Amar Singh tied up with Kalyan Singh and so we lost (in Lok Sabha elections)," says one of the Muslim MPs.

Just a few months back senior party leaders were afraid of taking him on directly and now ordinary MLAs are seeking his resignation.

The real question is are these voices sporadic or are they being orchestrated by leaders at the top?

Adding fuel to the raging fire is Kalyan Singh. Having moved away from the SP recently after tying up with them during the Lok Sabha polls, he has hit out at Mulayam Singh.

"Amar Singh must decide whether he wants to continue with the SP after being insulted like this," said Kalyan Singh.

Amidst all this, Amar Singh continues to be on holiday abroad. Relaxing and resting, perhaps preparing for a bigger battle ahead against the very people whom he has supported so far.
