Vyara (Surat): Ram Sinh Choudhary is yet to believe the fact that his daughter, Dharmshree, was one of the 11 girls who died when her school building collapsed on Friday night in Vyara, Surat.
Choudhary, a father of three, had sent his daughter to the school with great difficulty, but all his hopes for her have come crumbling down.
And all the devastated father wants to now know is who is to blame for the disaster.
A careless state government has shattered the hopes of not only Ram Sinh Choudhary but 10 other families like his in the region.
A day after the incident, Choudhary is now completing the last rites of Dharmshree. His family says that the government have been very indifferent to them so far.
Says a relative, Tamesh Choudhary, "Everybody knew that the building was in a dilapidated state. Now that the disaster has happened, nobody from the state's side has come to help cremate Dharmshree till now."
The state government has now ordered an inquiry into the incident. But they will have a lot to explain to these families, who are struggling hard to cope with the loss of their loved ones.
