Surat: Video shows IPS officer thrashing purse-snatcher with a stick

Surat: A video clipping showing an IPS officer thrashing a thief in the Varaccha area of Surat surfaced on Saturday.

The incident happened on Friday evening and was recorded by a bystander on his mobile phone.

The video, aired by few TV channels, showed Deputy Commissioner of Police ND Solanki beating up a man with a stick as four other policemen held him.

The video showed DCP ND Solanki beating up a man with a stick as four other policemen held him.

The man was caught by the police after he snatched a woman's purse.
