New Delhi: As the fashion fever hits the Capital, CNN-IBN spotted a designer who seems to have shifted her base from Mumbai to Delhi. We caught up with Surily Goel who wants to shrug off her Bollywood tag and do some serious designing.

Iram Mirza: Fashion and Bollywood go hand-in-hand and who better than Surily Goel to vouch for it. So what is the reason behind you shifting base to Delhi?

Surily Goel: Well, I have showcased my collection in Mumbai twice already and I thought Delhi would be a nice change. I have established my brand in Mumbai so I thought of coming to Delhi. Maybe I could get more buyers here.

Iram Mirza: How do fashion designers feel when they are tagged as Bollywood designers?

Surily Goel: I don't think they take it too kindly. I mean it's great to be a Bollywood designer but it's very different to fashion designing. Designing for Bollywood is basically designing a character but doing a fashion show is different. But people don't realise that. We just get labelled instantly.

Iram Mirza: How well do you take accusations that Bollywood designers are still referred to as stylists and not as designers?

Surily Goel: Well, I don't think that is true because at times one has to work on things like period films in which a lot of thought goes. Even if sometimes costumes are bought, they are styled according to an actor. Then sometimes one just buys a top and then designs a skirt to go with it.

Iram Mirza: You have your show on Thursday. So, do we expect any stardust this time?

Surily Goel: No, not at all. No stars are coming to Delhi. So, that people can take me seriously as a fashion designer.
