HASSAN: Two people died of suspected dengue fever in Hassan on Sunday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Munavar (50) and Syed Ibrahim (49) from Pension Mohalla Extension.
According to sources, the duo were suffering from fever for the last fortnight and though they had admitted to the Chamarajendra Government Hospital here two days ago, they did not respond to treatment.

The blood samples of the patients have been sent to the laboratory.
The residents alleged that the City Municipality has not taken any steps to clean the drains which are breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
They also complained of getting sewage mixed with drinking water in the area.
A month ago, Express had published a report on the health hazards of the Pension Mohalla residents due to lack of basic facilities.
