Arushi case: Police says Talwar is not cooperating

Noida: Dr Rajesh Talwar, accused of killing his 14-year-old daughter Arushi and servant Hemraj is back in judicial custody. Top sources in the Noida police say he refused to cooperate with them and had in fact been misleading them.

Despite three days in custody, the police failed to recover any concrete evidence to substantiate their allegations against Dr. Rajesh Talwar. If they indeed claim to have arrested the right man, why didn't they seek further police remand?"

The answer to that is as elusive as the evidence the police have been trying to get their hands on. The police haven’t recovered the weapon or the cell phones of Arushi and Hemraj.

They even took Dr Talwar to Haridwar where he'd gone to perform Arushi's last rites but that trip was also in vain. The case is increasingly looking weaker by the day and the defense hopes Talwar will get bail.

Defense Lawyer Mahendra Pratap Singh said, “The bail plea is coming up on Monday. We'll see what happens."

Even as the Noida Police faces extreme criticism for the character assassination of Arushi Talwar, the focus now shifts to the courts, where on Monday, it will be decided whether a narco-analysis will be permitted on Dr Talwar or not.

But unfortunately that wont be legally admissible. Its only incriminating concrete evidence that will help crack this case wide open. A prospect that looks extremely bleak at this point of time.
