Tamil actor Shanthanu to portray a rural youth

Shanthanu Bhagyaraj has transformed himself as a rural youth for 'Ammavin Kaipesi', a film directed by Thankar Bachan. The film is expected to kick start a fresh innings in Kollywood for the actor and also for the director.

Says Thankar, "I am sure Bhagyaraj will be surprised and happy to see Shanthanu in Ammavin Kaipesi. The young actor has molded himself as a village youngster and has given his best. In fact, he is wearing lungi at home these days"

Giving details about the film, the director of 'Azhagi' and 'Solla Marandha Kadhai' says, "Today's generation has ignored our roots. The movie will remind them of our tradition, especially the need to respect elders."
