Bangalore: Tamil actress Shubha Phutela, who debuted this year with romantic-drama ‘Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey’, has passed away after a prolonged kidney problem and jaundice. She was 21.
Shubha died Monday night at the Apollo Hospital here. "She was undergoing treatment for kidney problem for three months. She also got jaundice recently. She was showing signs of recovery but suddenly slipped into coma last week," a source told IANS.
Shubha is survived by her parents, an elder sister and a younger brother. She had recently turned down an offer to act opposite Telugu actor Ram, citing health issues.
