Tamil film 'Thuppakki' completes100 days of running today

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Thuppakki' seemed to be the only relief in Kollywood last year.

The movie that did extremely well in the box office hasn't stopped at that. Today, the movie completes a glorious 100 day mark in the Tamil Nadu box office too!

This is quite a feat in recent times. Congratulations to the team! This is certainly a big time comeback for Vijay, making a presence for him in Tamil cinema, once again. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors. 'Thuppakki' was directed by AR Murugadoss for Kalaipuli S Dhanu.

Written and directed by filmmaker A R Murugadoss the Tamil action thriller features Vijay and Kajal in the lead.

The movie was based on the story of a young, jubilant and energetic army man, returning home in vacation and spending all the time to rid the city of sleeper terrorist cells, and also manage to woo a girl in the meanwhile. Kajal Aggarwal co-starred Vijay in the film, with Harris Jeyaraj offering some foot tapping numbers. 'Thuppakki' was directed by AR Murugadoss for Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
