Rameswaram: Six members of a family, including four minor children, were charred to death in a fire that engulfed their house at Thoppuvalasai early on Monday morning.
The deceased included a man, whose wife is working abroad, his four minor children aged between one and 13 and his father, police said.
All the family members were asleep when the fire broke out, police said, adding that the cause of the fire is being ascertained.
