New Delhi: Madurai is on a high on the biggest day of Jallikattu. A day after more than 80 people were injured in the popular bull sport in Tamil Nadu the big question is will the Supreme Court safety guidelines be followed?.
The traditional bull taming sport is being organised at Alanganallur in Madurai on a large scale on Thursday.
And the Supreme Court will be keeping a close watch on the festivities there.
Residents of Alanganallur have been excited ever since the apex court gave the go-ahead for Jallikattu.
Security has been stepped up and safety measures have been put in place by the district administration.
The measures include screening of bulls by vets and breathalysers for humans.
Scores of people were injured during Jallikattu at Palamedu in the district on Wednesday, but the excitement has not dimmed.
