Tamil 'Nanban' to hit screens on January 12

New Delhi: If media reports are to be believed then the release date of Shankar's 'Nanban' is pre-poned to January 12, 2012. Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released on the eve of Pongal.

Directed by Shankar, 'Nanban' is the Tamil remake of '3 Idiots'. The original film had Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan in the lead roles while Omi Vaidya had played the famous role of Chatur Ramalingam.

The Tamil version will feature Vijay, Srikanth and Jiiva in the central roles while Sathyan will be seen in the role portrayed by Omi Vaidya in the original.

Ileana D'Cruz and Sathyaraj will be seen in other important roles. The songs of the film are already chartbusters.
