Tamil star Vikram sends digital invites for his new flick

Chennai: After a gap of two years, Tamil star Vikram is all set to shoot for his latest project Kandasamy. But what seems to be making news instead is the invite to the inaugural shot on September 23.

Unlike the humble paper invites, this one is a digital trailer of the film itself. And 1,500 such invites – each costing about Rs 15,000 – will be sent out to bureaucrats and celebrities in a bid to enter the Guinness Book of Records.

“I think it's going to create a great opening and build up curiosity. People can see the trailers, it'll be there all over the TV and Internet and that'll work up some curiosity about the film,” says Vikram.

The film is already creating curiosity as Kandasamy will see the Tamil hero transform into a 'superhero.' But this superhero act is driven by logic.

“We can't have a superhero without science-fiction. But our story is not like that. We've got perfect logic throughout the film like we insist that every frame should have enough logic and superhero role should also fall into the pattern,” Vikram says.

Apart from Kandasamy, Vikram is also been busy with AM Ratnam's Bheema and the actor seems to be having a tough time juggling two films back-to-back.

Bheema is very brooding, it's a little rustic and very quiet-macho-silent type. Kandasamy is very flamboyant, peppy and sophisticated,” Vikram explains.

But it looks like all the hard work is paying off already. If Kandasamy's trailer is anything to go by then we will see Vikram in more than five makeovers in the film but for that we will have to wait till April to catch the superhero in action.
