Tata launches Safari Storme in India

The updated Tata Safari is here. Tata Motors has launched the Safari Storme at a starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh, ex-Delhi. Borrowing underpinnings from the Aria, the Storme sports ladder-frame chassis and revised suspension.

Under the hood, the familiar 2.2-litre common rail diesel engine still makes 140PS but the company claims that it has been reworked upon. The 5-speed gearbox has also been revised. Inside the cabin, there are subtle tweaks.

Tata Motors claim 14kmpl for the 2WD variant and 13kmpl for the 4WD trim. The previous generation Safari will be sold alongside the Storme and depending on the market conditions, the company may look at revising its prices.

LX 4X2 (Diesel): Rs 9.95 lakh

EX 4x2 (Diesel): Rs 10.77 lakh

VX 4X2 (Diesel): Rs 12.37 lakh

VX 4X4 (Diesel): Rs 13.66 lakh
