New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed that the body of Delhi-based tattoo artist Paras Bhasin which was found in a mutilated condition, was not chopped into pieces but compressed and disintegrated by the impact. The Delhi Police have not ruled out murder.

"The body wasn't headless. Under the impact the head went inside the body cavity," Delhi Police said in a statement.

Paras Bhasin's body was found by the police near railway tracks in Ganesh Nagar in East Delhi on Monday morning.

His family had alleged in its FIR that Bhasin was under constant threat from his in-laws and that his wife was kept under house-arrest by her family after it came to know of their marriage.

Bhasin's family said that he was threatened daily by his father-in-law.

In fact, they said that on Friday, Bhasin had called up his uncle from Manesar and that he too was humiliated and threatened by his in-laws.

The family has alleged it is a case of honour killing. The girl's family had been against the marriage and the couple had got married at a private ceremony.
