CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Taxis and auto rickshaws in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secundrabad will be off the roads on Thursday.

Taxi unions are demanding the withdrawal of the transport department’s decision to collect a lifetime road tax from them.

Auto drivers are also joining the strike demanding that the government fix Rs 15 as the minimum fare in the twin cities.

It is expected that the commuters will have a tough time with over 3 lakh taxis and about 1 lakh autos expected to stay off the roads.
