Sonepat: In a shocking incident on Friday, two youths allegedly ran their car over a school teacher in the town of Sonepat in Haryana, for not allowing one of their friends, a Class 12 student, to cheat in board examinations.

Rakesh was a Hindi teacher at Ramjas School in Sonepat. Vikram and Hari Om, the two accused, had pressed him to let their friend cheat in Class 12 board examinations. However, his constant refusal to do so proved costly for him.

When returning home on foot on Friday, the two youths crushed him to death under their car.

Even though his family rushed him to a hospital in Delhi, he died.

The grieving family is now asking for justice. Mukesh, Rakesh's brother, says, "Rakesh had taught at the school for five years. The school director says he was soft spoken, gentle and honest. They are now demanding exemplary action against the accused."

The police have, meanwhile, swung into action. A murder case has been registered against Vikram and Hari Om and investigations have begun. Police say they will arrest the culprits soon.
