Chandigarh: After treating fans to some explosive cricket action in the second ODI, Team India and Pakistan took a break to indulge in some Diwali festivities. Both the teams wasted no time inside their hotel rooms as they celebrated the festival of light and sound in Mohali.
Not missing the opportunity to wish viewers on Diwali, cricketer Yuvraj Singh said, “Hi, this is Yuvraj Singh and here's wishing the viewers of CNN-IBN a very Happy Diwali.”
The festivities brought out the other side of the Rawalpindi express Shoaib Akhtar too. The Pakistan cricket team speed kind spent the most of his day at an orphanage regaling the kids with his brand of humour and attention.
“You're actually touched by these sorts of people and you feel that your life is so important. It just makes you realise that the healthy life that you have is such a precious gift,” Akhtar said.
Team India capped the celebrations by catching a glimpse of the glimpse of Shahrukh Khan's latest flick Om Shanti Om.
