Chennai: Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd and Anna University Chennai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide easier access to Microsoft technology and solutions to its faculty and students.
Students across 235 colleges affiliated to Anna University will now be able to access latest Microsoft software products with enhanced technology and speed, a university release said.
The release said the agreement was the first of its kind in the country and would allow the students and faculty not only to use Microsoft developer tools within the institution for academic and research purposes, but also to use them in their personal computers.
In addition to this, the Microsoft will assist the university in setting up Microsoft technology labs at select institutions and conduct faculty development programmes on its technologies and related curriculum, the release added.
