Rajasthan Royals included new signing Johan Botha as captain Shane Warne won the toss and elected to bat against Mumbai Indians. Warne, who had injured himself during Rajasthan's previous game against Deccan Chargers, made himself available for the clash. Mumbai, on the other hand, left out medium pacer Rohan Raje to make way for leg-spinner Chetanya Nanda.
