Mumbai: Less than 24 hours after the serial blasts in Mumbai, the kids were back in school. Even terror attacks couldn't keep these young children away from what they set to do, study.
Fearless and undeterred, they claim that nothing can stop life for Mumbaikars.
"My parents have asked me to go to school. They said there is nothing to worry, no terrorists. It happened yesterday, today is new day," said Arun Pal, a student of Shree Sarvyajanik Balmandir School.
The undying spirit of Mumbai has once more come alive with the young faces braving it out in the face of terror.
Blast or no blast, life goes on in Mumbai and the kids are an example of how the smallest of Mumbaikars has come forward fearlessly in these trying times.
"I'm concerned about my studies. I am not scared. People can't scare us with bomb blasts," added Roshni Sheikh, another student.
In spite of the rising death toll and the city being put on high alert, most schools and colleges in Mumbai chose to remain open on Wednesday. They all had a single agenda: Mumbai and its youth will not buckle to terror.
And parents are not falling back either. Matching their young ones step for step, each guardian is keen to support the school authorities and return to their normal routines.
"We want to tell them that whatever these terrorists have done, they can't scare us and the students should understand this and work towards a brighter future," Md Sharif, teacher, Shree Sarvyajanik Balmandir School, said.
Manisha Solanki, a parent, spoke in the same voice. "These things keep happening in Mumbai. If we keep them home in fear without thinking about the future, they will never understand and progress."
