Manchester: Carlos Tevez has failed to report for training with Manchester City and is still in Argentina, after flying to the country last week without the club's permission.
City say that Tevez was not granted leave last week and should have stayed with the club during the international break, and they have now instructed their lawyers to take action following the absence.
There had been reports that the player had obtained a medical certificate stating that he is unable to train or play, though this has gone unconfirmed by his spokespersons. They did confirm, however, that the player is still in Argentina.

EPL club Manchester City's Argentine player Carlos Tevez flew back home last week without his club's permission and hasn't reported for training.
The 27-year-old was also due to take part in a meeting on Monday arranged by the club between high-ranking City officials and the Argentine's representatives.
Manchester City have so far refused to comment on Tevez's failure to return to the country.
