New Delhi: After helping the Red Devils clinch a record-equalling 18th English title on Saturday, the Argentina international suggested his stay at the club may be coming to an end.
Carlos Tevez has intimated that he may have worn the Manchester United shirt at Old Trafford for the last time.
The Argentina international was named in the starting eleven and played for 67 minutes, as the Red Devils clinched a record-equalling 18th Premier League title with a goalless draw against Arsenal.
There has been plenty of speculation with regards to the 25-year-old's future lately, as his two-year loan spell with United is set to expire this summer and the club seem reluctant to pay the £26-32 million it is said he will cost to purchase on a permanent basis.
Manager Alex Ferguson has insisted that negotiations have begun with a view to keeping 'El Apache' beyond this season, although Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian is adamant that no firm offer has been made.
Speaking after the game against the Gunners on Saturday, the former Boca Juniors and Corinthians star suggested that he may be plying his trade elsewhere from the 2009/10 campaign onwards.
Asked whether it was moving to hear the Manchester United fans cheer for him as he made way for Ji-Sung Park, and as he lifted the Premier League trophy, Tevez told Sky Sports, "Yes, very emotional.
"I like Manchester, I like the fans, thank you so much."
The 5ft 7in striker seemed to be resigned to leaving Manchester United during the close-season, however much it pains him to contemplate not playing for the Mancunians.
"Maybe it was goodbye," Tevez remarked.
"It's very difficult to leave Manchester for me," he stated, before adding, "It will be very difficult to stay."
Real Madrid, Inter and Chelsea are all thought to be interested in signing the player.
