Nana Patekar had a few days back visited Thackeray's residence and requested him to attend the evening 'aarti' to Lord Ganesha at his residence, during the auspicious 10-day festival.
Thackeray, along with his son Uddhav and grandson Aditya, attended the 'aarti' and exchanged pleasantries with the actor and his family at his south-central Mumbai home.
The actor had also requested Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray, Bal Thackeray's nephew, to grace the festivities. Raj had reportedly attended the celebrations two days back.
Respecting Nana Patekar's request to grace the Ganesh festival celebrations at his home, Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray paid a visit to the actor's residence last night
