Thackeray's funeral: Mumbai Police traffic advisory for routes to avoid today

Mumbai: The last rites of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray will be performed at Shivaji Park in central Mumbai, where he had addressed his followers for over four decades. The local Sena leaders and the Mumbai police have appealed to party workers to maintain peace even as security in the city was stepped up.

Following is the advisory by Mumbai police:

Veer Savakar Road, Annie Besant Road and Mori Road, among others, are off bounds between 6 am and 10 pm tonight. No traffic will be allowed on these roads. Meanwhile, no parking will be allowed on Ranade Road and NC Kelkar Road among others.

Routes to avoid: Mumbai Police traffic advisory

Veer Savakar Road, Annie Besant Road and Mori Road, among others, are off bounds between 6 am and 10 pm tonight. No traffic will be allowed on these roads.

Veer Savarkar Road - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm; No parking allowed.

Annie Besant Road - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm; No parking allowed.

Mori Road - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm.

Babasaheb Worlikar Chowk - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm.

LJ Road - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm; No parking allowed.

Gokhale Road - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm; No parking allowed.

Tilak Bridge at Dadar TT - no entry from 6 am to 10 pm.

Ranade Road - No parking allowed.

NC Kelkar Road - No parking allowed.

Kataria Marg - No parking allowed.

Sayani Marg - No parking allowed.
