Thane: A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Thane, police said. Ajit Kalokhe is a resident of Dombivali township in Thane district.
The accused allegedly lured his nine-year-old neighbour on Saturday to a secluded place where he sexually assaulted her, police said. The girl narrated the incident to her parents who lodged a complaint against Ajit.
The accused has been booked under section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
