Thane: A newly-born girl was found abandoned in the city's Vartak Nagar locality in the early hours on Monday, police said.
Some of the people who had come out for a morning walk, found the abandoned baby lying on the ground of a Firing Range around 6.30 am and later informed the Vartak Nagar police, who took the infant's custody.
The baby was later taken to Thane Civil Hospital and has been kept under the medical care, they said.
