Even as the film is getting ready to hit the screens next week, the cast and crew of 'Kumki' met the media in Chennai on Friday and shared some interesting details.

Speaking on the occasion, director Prabhu Solomon said that the film is not just about an elephant and its caretaker. "There is a beautiful love story and it will be the surprise package," he further confirmed.

The filmmaker further added that he selected Vikram Prabhu for the lead role, not because he is the grandson of thespian Sivaji Ganesan or son of Prabhu.

Directed by Prabhu Solomon the Tamil film has a beautiful surprise for the audience

"Vikram was the perfect fit for the role which I had in my mind.

Also, he equipped himself fully well for the character. He will rock after Kumki's release," Prabhu Solomon said.
