Lucknow: In its much-awaited verdict of the Ayodhya title suit the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has given the verdict by which the land will be divided in three parts between Ram Lalla, Sunni Wakf board and the Nirmohi Akhara.

KN Bhatt, lawyer for Ram Lalla said that the suit is barred by limitation. Both Justice Agarwal and Justice Khan agreed.

They said that the Sunni Wakf Board ought to have filed the suit within six years of after 1949. However, they filed a suit only in 1961.

K.N. Bhatt also said that the part of land right under the central dome of the mosque is the birthplace of Lord Ram. The majority also agreed that the Ram janmabhoomi is indeed a deity.

“The verdict is more of a compromise,” said K.N. Bhatt.
