New Delhi: Defending Team Anna's decision to campaign against Congress in Hisar by-poll, Social activist Medha Patkar on Tuesday said that the appeal was not made in anyone's favour.
"Campaign in Hisar is not benefiting RSS or Sangh Parivar. The appeal was not made in favour of Kuldeep Bishnoi," she said.
Reacting to the news that two Team Anna members have resigned over anti-Congress stand, she said, "We welcome the difference of opinion expressed openly. Both P V Rajagopal and Rajinder Singh were not able to take out much time for the meetings."
Two prominent activists P V Rajagopal and 'Waterman' Rajinder Singh on Tuesday quit Team Anna's Core Committee objecting to the movement taking a "political turn" and claimed that it was mired in confusion.
Stressing on the need for dialogues, Patkar said, "There can be difference of opinion but it had not come out in the meetings. Dialogue needs to take place."
"We all had dilemmas on this. We should be open to various ideas & suggestions. Even Narmada Bachao Andolan did not take such positions," she said.
Have not had any chance to speak to both Rajinder and Rajagopal, she said.
