For all those who haven't had enough of Aamir Khan as an actor, he will be next seen making his directorial debut as a director in the much anticipated Taare Zameen Par. CNN-IBN’s Rohit Khilnani speaks to the star about movies and much more.
CNN-IBN: Is it stressful being the producer, director and actor for Taare Zameen Par?
Aamir Khan: Yes, it is. Each role comes with its own demands. But it is not as if it hasn’t been done before. Raj Kapoorji had done it throughout his career.
CNN-IBN: What your most difficult scene while directing Taare Zameen Par?
Aamir Khan: I don’t think there was any one scene which I can say was easy. Since I was directing for the first time I was stressed on whether I would get it right or not. I was trying my level best to be as honest as I could to the story. The climax was especially stressful because there were about 2,000 kids. And let me tell you directing so many children was no mean task.
CNN-IBN: Moving slightly away from Taare Zameen Par. You gave an interview sometime back that triggered off this whole thing about ‘Aamir’s war with Amitabh Bachchan’. Is there anything you want to say regarding that?
Aamir Khan: There is no war. I have the highest regard for Amitji. My answer was in response to a question that was asked. In retrospect, maybe I should have not answered the question.
