Thrissur (Kerala): Can an auto-rickshaw ever come close to a limousine?
Here's a story of a remote controlled three-wheeler with some features of a limo, unbelievable as it may sound.
Wave and it'll halt before you, just like any other auto rickshaw, anywhere in the country.
Only this auto-rickshaw does not need a driver. It has been designed by K N Ragesh, a mechanical engineer in Thrissur, Kerala and is a unique remote controlled device.
"It has been five years since I bought and modified this auto-rickshaw. Many modifications have been made in it. It can be run with passengers on-board for a small distance," says Ragesh.
Ragesh's three-wheeler now almost resembles a limousine, with a television and DVD player and volvo style reclining seats.
There is also a central locking system and a three-step safety alarm. So, if you're ever in Thrissur, make sure to hop in, and take the joyride.
