Click to play videoMumbai:The music release of Saas Bahu Aur Sensex took place in Mumbai on Wednesday. The title of the film is a sure head turner, but more than the title it's veteran actor Farooque Sheikh's return to the big screen that has got everybody interested.
While blaze was blazing away with a rap number at the music release of Saas Bahu Aur Sensex on Wednesday in Mumbai, all eyes were on veteran actor Farooque Sheikh who plays a Parsi broker in the film which also marks his comeback to the big screen.
“I was quite busy doing other things and from the last two years I haven’t done TV and very little theatre so I thought this is the right time to fit the slaught, says actor Farooque Sheikh.
“I wanted to work with Farooq for a long time, have been a huge fan of his since college days so I am happy to work with him,” says actor Kiron kher
As the title suggests Saas Bahu Aur Sensex, the movie is an attempt to reflect the current quirks of urban India with a dash of humour.
“I took a bunch of characters who are like a part of this entire suburbia. How they don’t know anything about the market and how they get involved and then how the market gets involved into their lives,” says Director, Shona Urvashi.
“It is a cute little comedy but at the same time its also reflects the current state of the current state of our country's women and their contribution to the economic reform of our country;” adds Farooque
“Its not a Bollywood pot boiler, its a very realistic film with its funny parts are highlighted . The magic is in watching it,” adds Kiron
The movie also stars Sharon Prabhakar, Lilet Dubey, Masumeh Makhija and Tanushree Dutta.
Saas Bahu Aur Sensex is also Warner Brothers first Bollywood venture.
