Berlin: German international and Bayern Munich's offensive midfielder Thomas Mueller extended his running contract until June 2017, the club said in an official statement.
"Thomas Mueller came through the youth ranks at FC Bayern. His contract ran until 2015 in any case, but we are delighted to extend that by two years until 2017 at this early stage. It is also a proof of Thomas Mueller's commitment to FC Bayern," Bayern chairman Karl Heinz Rummenigge said on their official homepage Wednesday.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder made his Bundesliga debut in 2008 since then 122 official matches to score 41 goals for the Bavarians, reports Xinhua. Moreover he was appointed into the Germany national football team in 2010 to mark ten goals in 38 appearances. The Bavarians set the tone in the Bundesliga with a nine-point cushion on top the standings.
