Jaunpur: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday said the threat to the country's borders increases whenever Congress comes to power at the Centre. Addressing an election rally at Jaunpur, he said China was becoming powerful and was ready to attack the country.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir had also written to the Centre warning about the neighbouring nation acquiring one-km of area, the former Defence Minister said.

After the Samajwadi Party released its manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh assembly election, the faith of Muslims in his party had increased, the former Chief Minister said.

If the SP was voted to power in the state, education and medical services would be provided free, he said.

The SP supremo alleged that the BSP government only counted notes and erected statues.
