Lahore: Three officials of the Federal Investigation Agency have been accused of raping a woman in this eastern Pakistani city, the second time in five months that personnel of the organisation have allegedly been involved in such a crime.
According to officials at Gulberg police station, FIA official Khalid Naeem allegedly invited a 28-year-old woman to a hotel room in Liberty Market on Monday, saying he would arrange a job for her in an airline.
"When the woman reached the hotel, Naeem and his two subordinates - Ahmed Karmani and Safdar Husain allegedly raped her under the influence of liquor," police officer Nasir Hamid said.
A case was registered against the three officials under provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code related to rape. Police claimed they had arrested the accused though this could not be independently confirmed.
In September, four persons, including an assistant director of FIA and a businessman, were arrested for the alleged rape of a woman in a five-star hotel in Islamabad.
