Three-day permission for Anna fast: sources

New Delhi: Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare has got the permission to hold his protest fast starting August 16 for three days. Government sources have told CNN-IBN that action will be taken if the fast continues beyond 72 hours.

Government sources have indicated to CNN-IBN that the activist may get permission for three days to fast at the Jai Prakash Narain Park near the Firoz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi.

Sources say that the request for granting further permission has been forwarded to the CPWD which falls under the Urban Development ministry. The ministry, in turn, has forwarded it to Delhi's Liuetnant Governor Tejinder Khanna's office for a final call. Anna has threatend to begin an indefinte fast from August 16.
