Chennai: A racy thriller is in the offing for ardent Kamal Haasan fans with his bi-lingual thriller 'Vishwaroopam' (Vishwaroop in Hindi) ready to soon hit the silver screen. A marriage of convenience and the desire of the wife to spy on her dancer husband to find an excuse to leave him results in wires getting cross connected and "all hell breaks loose," as the actor-director put it.
"Vishwaroopam is something that has been in my mind for nearly seven years. I hope it stays in my audiences' mind for at least half that time," the versatile actor said. Last seen in a romantic comedy 'Manmathan Ambu', Kamal Haasan now takes to the thriller genre with posters of the wounded Kathak exponent walking the U.S. streets with a pistol in hand generating much curiosity among film buffs.
Famous director Shekhar Kapur will rub shoulders with Kamal Haasan amidst an impressive cast of actors, including Rahul Bose, Jaideep Ahlawat, Pooja Kumar, Zareena Wahab, Nasser and Andrea Jeremiah. The film was screened at IIFA Singapore.
