'Thuppaki' to be rechristened as 'Saravedi'?

There are claims that those behind 'Thupaki' are so sure about releasing the movie on Diwali, despite a case pending in court, only because they have decided to change the movie's title.

It is said that the film might be rechristened as 'Saravedi', not just because the new title too is apt for the movie's script, but it also reflects the festival mood.

Starring Vijay in the lead role, 'Thuppaki' is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. Kajal Agarwal is the leading lady, while music is by Harris Jayaraj.

The film hit a roadblock after the producers of 'Kalla Thuppaki' filed a case, alleging that those behind 'Thupaki' had unlawfully registered the title.
