New Delhi: The controversy between Tibetans and the Chinese government is once again shadowing the Beijing Olympics.
Tibetans living in exile in India have now appealed to Bollywood actor Aamir Khan not to carry the Olympic torch.
The righteous Khan is the official Beijing Olympics torchbearer in Delhi.
This appeal was made by the Tibetan Youth Congress, which is part of the Tibetan People's Uprising Movement.
They have also threatened to not allow the flame to move through India. The group will be holding parallel torch relays at places where the Olympic flame will be taken.
Their march began on March 25 from Dharamsala. The people attending the march have currently reached Chandigarh and are proceeding towards Delhi.
From Delhi, they plan to head to San Francisco — the same place where the Olympic torch is being taken.
Tibetans have been accusing China of using the Olympics as a means to legitimise claims over Tibet.
