Dehra Dun: A tigress was found dead on Wednesday in Sarpduli range of the Jim Corbett National Park, the second death of a big cat in the Reserve in less than four days.
The carcass of a tigress was found flowing in Ramganga river in the Park, Director of the Tiger Reserve Kapil Joshi said.
The cause of the death could be ascertained only through post mortem, he said.
This is the second striped cat found dead in the Park within four days.
On December 13, an eight-year-old male tiger was found dead in Dhikala range.
The post mortem revealed the tiger died of respiratory and cardio-vascular problems.
