Washington: Time magazine has ranked Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2002 film 'Devdas' eighth among the ten greatest movies of the millennium with 'WALL.E' at the top and 'The Artist' in the tenth spot. It described Shah Rukh Khan as an 'all-world charismatist' and Madhuri Dixit 'a hot number who danced flamencos on men's libidos'.
"A year after 'Moulin Rouge!' had its world premiere at Cannes, another visually intoxicating musical opened at the festival, introducing sang-and-danced Bollywood dramas to the international culturati," it said of the film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit
"Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1901 novel inspired at least a half-dozen film versions before this one - in its time, the priciest movie in Indian history (at about $10.6 million)," the prestigious US news magazine noted.

Madhuri Dixit is back in the city to judge a popular dance reality show. In a two part series, we pick some of the 'Dhak Dhak' diva's sizzler performances...One of her most recent contributions to Hindi cinema, Madhuri Dixit's portrayal of Chandramukhi dancing to the lilting tunes of 'Dola Re' sent the entire nation crazy after the dancing diva. While the dance number set off comparisons between Madhuri and co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's performances, it is undoubtedly one of the former's best dance performances on-screen.

With the peppy 'Ek Do Teen' in 'Tezaab', Madhuri became a star overnight. The energetic choreography in the song has a melange of classical and modern steps. And Madhuri executes it effortlessly. It is also one of choreographer Saroj Khan's best works in Hindi cinema.

Once again choreographed by Saroj Khan, this song stirred up several controversies. But that does not take away from the fact that Madhuri did an amazing job with it. The Bollywood actor was extremely graceful in this song and some of the steps that she did for it were simply ground-breaking.

While it's been more than fifteen years since the movie 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun' has come and gone, this song has remained an eternal wedding favourite. 'Didi Tera Dewar Deewana' sung by Lata Mangeshkar saw Madhuri dish out some interesting and unforgettable jhatkas that have become her trademark.

Once again with this song, Madhuri Dixit put on her dancing shoes next to another dancing queen of Bollywood, this time Karisma Kapoor. Though it is often thought that Karisma outshone Madhuri in this clash of the titans, the latter proved yet again what a nimble-footed dancer she is.

Cast opposite Anil Kapoor in 'Beta', Madhuri danced to this sizzling hot number with panache. A very scintillating performance, it was much talked about. Her coy smile and her dupatta fluttering in the breeze - all added to Madhuri's sex appeal in this dance number.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film is Madhuri Dixit's exquisite dance performances. Choreographed once again by Saroj Khan, the Bollywood actor's rendition of 'Maar Dala' could give any professional dancer a run for his or her money. This performance most definitely is one of the best among all mujra dances in Hindi cinema.

The 2007 release 'Aaja Nachle' was Madhuri Dixit's return to Bollywood. While the film was a dud at the box office, Madhuri's performance especially in the title song was much appreciated. With her trademark dance steps, she undoubtedly showed the Bollywood brigade of younger actors that she was never too far from her favourite passions - dance and cinema.

Even twenty years after the release of 'Thanedar', this Sanjay Dutt-Madhuri Dixit dance number rings loud in our ears. This peppy Bappi Lahiri composition saw some very interesting dance moves from both the actors. Both Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt in their rockstar avatars sent the entire nation swaying to their dance steps.

For this song, Madhuri Dixit teamed up with southern star Prabhu Deva for a highly energetic and dynamic dance sequence. Madhuri was absolutely perfect in this number that saw her performing a series of mind-boggling steps that were a combination of acrobatics and contemporary dance.

Time magazine has ranked Sanjay Leela Bhansali\'s \'Devdas\' eighth among the ten greatest movies of the millennium.
"The piece is played with such commitment that the tritest plot twists seem worth believing - and dancing to, in nine nifty production numbers. But the fervid emotion is what makes the thing sing," it said.
"Beyond that, Devdas is a visual ravishment, with sumptuous sets, fabulous frocks and beautiful people to fill them; it has a grandeur the old Hollywood moguls would have loved," Time gushes.
"From Toy Story in 1995 to Toy Story 3 in 2010, John Lasseter's Pixar animation house produced 11 features, all winners - and a few the very best films of their year," the Time said picking 'the studio's biggest hit' Andrew Stanton's 'WALL.E' for the top spot.
