Timeline: Karnataka blips on terror radar

New Delhi: In the last few months, police have arrested many suspected terrorists in Karnataka.

Arrests made so far have revealed that organisations like SIMI have held secret meetings in various parts of Karnataka, plotting terrorist attacks.

On January 11, three suspects, Abdullah Abubacker, Mohammed Ghouse and Mohammed Asif were arrested from Davangere and Hubli

On February 12, Mohammed Shakeel, an electrician from Dharwad was arrested for his alleged links with the banned outfit SIMI

On February 21, software engineer Yahya Kammukutty was arrested on a tip off from Asif, who's a final year MBBS student in Hubli.

Terrorist training camps have been unearthed in Dharwad and the jungles of Uttara Kannada district.
