TIME magazine's newest cover for North America, showing a stay-at-home mother in Los Angeles breastfeeding her over-three-year-old son is drawing flak from different quarters for being too provocative.
The photo shows Jamie Lynne Grumet, 26, a stay-at-home mom in Los Angeles who told the magazine that her mother breastfed her until she was six. TIME's American cover is on a style of child-rearing where nursing and breastfeeding a baby beyond childhood has been a tradition among few.
Jamie also told the magazine in an interview that she has given up reasoning with people who threaten "to call social services on me or that it's child molestation."

TIME\'s newest cover for North America, shows a stay-at-home mother breastfeeding her almost-four-year-old son.
However, though the cover drew lewd comments and X-rated jokes, a section of the American people expressed their confidence that the cover story, titled "Are you mom enough?" would lead to greater acceptability of a lifestyle and child-rearing tradition that is as old as the country.
The edition hits the newstands on Friday. Retailers have till now refused to comment on whether they will put it up on display.
Incidentally, TIME, in its editions in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, will feature Sachin Tendulkar on its cover for the same edition.
