Title of Kannada version of 'Dirty Picture' in discussion

'The Dirty Pictures' in Hindi created a sensation with Vidya Balan doing the role of South Indian actress and dancer Silk Smitha life sketch. The film of Ekta Kapoor 'The Dirty Picture' was a super hit in Hindi and Vidya Balan also got the national honour for it.

With the same title 'Dirty Picture...Silk Sakkath Maga' Kannada cinema is all set to launch with a different story. The leading lady of Indian television and producer of 'Dirty Picture' Ekta Kapoor has fired a letter to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce in Bengaluru not to permit the title.

The KFCC title committee registered the title a month ago and a letter from Ekta Kapoor has come up for discussion. Ekta Kapoor has also written in the letter that she expect a reply within five days for her letter to KFCC.

Director of Kannada film 'Dirty Picture....Silk Sakkath Maga' Trishul is in no mood to change the title of the film. The same title is kept in Bengali, Telugu and Tamil films. My producer Venkatappa is also very firm on retaining the title. We will not change it, says the director.
