Coimbatore: A one-day-old boy, found wrapped in a gunny bag and thrown into a 40-ft deep dry well, was rescued on Sunday and is being treated at the Government hospital here, police said.
A retired engineer, who was on his morning walk, heard the infant's cry from the well and asked locals to help.
One of them got down and brought the gunny bag up, only to find the child wrapped in it, police said.
