THRISSUR: A toddler drowned after he fell into a septic tank near his house at Mala near here on Monday.
The two-year-old victim, Aljo, son of Sijo Nettiyadan of Vennoor, Mala, was playing outside his house when he went missing at noon.
Though his parents searched for him in the neighbouring areas, they could not locate him.
Later, the body was recovered from the septic tank behind the house when the neighbours and relatives opened the tank.
While ruling out any foul play in the incident, the police said: “The boy slipped into the tank through a hole just behind the home.
” Aljo’s father, Sijo, is working as an auto electrician in Pune.
