Mumbai: After playing secret agent Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible series, Tom Cruise returns as a Colonel in his latest film, Valkyrie. The film's based on the July 20, 1944 plot of German army officers to assassinate Adolf Hitler.
And even though Cruise's casting caused controversy among German politicians since he practices Scientology, the German govt has partly paid for the film's production.
“The German government actually paying for part of the picture and I received an award from the German people which is their equivalent of an Oscar for courage for making the film so that stuff got blown out of proportion,” says actor Tom Cruise.
But here's something that's not been blown out of proportion-the film's stunts.
“All the airplanes in the film are real, it is not computer airplane, we are not on a blue screen we are up in the sky shooting these planes. We loaded people on the plane and realised you cant have hair and make up on the plane because of the weight,” says actor, Tom Cruise.
Directed by Bryan Singer, Valkyrie also stars Tom Wilkinson and is slated to hit American theatres this Christmas.
