Los Angeles: Tom Cruise and his six-year-old daughter Suri had some bonding time for the second day in a row, taking a helicopter ride above New York.

After the 50-year-old superstar had an outing with Suri on Tuesday - the first time he met her since Katie Holmes filed for divorce - the newly single father took a trip on a Liberty helicopter, reported People magazine.

Cruise carried his precious cargo during a sweltering hot day in NYC. "They didn't look stressed," said a source. The father-daughter duo's destination was unknown, but Suri was seen peering through the helicopter's window. "They seemed happy to me," said an observer. Even though Holmes will have primary custody of the couple's daughter, Cruise "will have a meaningful relationship with Suri," said his lawyer, Bert Fields.
