New Delhi: Lots of glitter and men of fashion — sounds like a treat? Well, the latest launch of Swarovski's new brand of crystals was just that when glittering stones teamed up with top notch fashion designers who unleashed their creativity with all that bling.
Tuesday afternoon in the Capital saw crystal giant Swarovski launch Crystallised Elements, a new brand of glittering stones. And the Indian fashion fraternity's top league — including Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal and J J Vallaya were crystal about its many purposes.
These top notch couturiers put together an installation each with their signature style, using Crystallised Elements.
So, while Tarun Tahiliani portrayed the bedroom intimacy with a be-jewelled mannequin trying to turn back time, saying: "It's lush and decadence."
Then silence was golden for J J Vallaya with his stunning crystal studded mannequin caught between the material and the spiritual coupled with an opulent chandelier and meditative calligraphic space.
As for Suneet Varma, all he had to say was: "It's Miami meets jharokha in Japur."
And Manish Arora was himself as he designed a Swarovski auto rickshaw along with his signature graphic prints from Indian mythology, saying, ""It's all about loving yourself."
As for Rohit Bal, he was in his element and his theme was the art of being excessive, which was obvious with the large shoe that he designed with the help of Swarosvski crystals.
